Gtx 460 appears stuck in 2d mode

when i boot my pc i have f@h running my card is at full speed but if a exit out of that it won't go anything able the 2d mode so only 400 core and 800 shaders, which isn't too bad really, still can play starcraft at ultimate for some reason, but it won't seem to budge, any suggestions?

Change the power mode in Nvidia control panal from adaptive to perfer maximum performance.

Second thing you can do, use MSI Afterburner to set your own clocks.

Well see i've already see it to maximum performance and i have evga percision overclocking the card, to 820core but it refuses to stay up there, only when i boot will it be at full clock, when i turn f@h off, then the clock are refusing to move back up

Your OC is probably too high. Windows will reset the driver if it's unable to use the device, and from my experience when it does this it always seems to revert to the 2D clocks 'just to be safe'
