How big is the difference?

My old graphics card died about a year ago and i had to buy a new graphics card.
i bought the gtx 460 thinking ill get a new pc soon anyway.
However, the new PC got delayed and im only getting it now.

Is the difference between the two cards big enough for me to buy a gtx 560 now?..
And is it possible to SLI 460 gtx and 560 gtx's?

How big is the performance difference?

You cannot sli two different gpu's , you can run the 560 as you main card and use the 460 as the physix. The 560 is only one step above the 460 so the difference would not be as great. If you were to go for a 560ti then that is two steps above the 460. To be clear with your situation is the new Pc you are just getting now have a 560 card and you had previously purchased a 460? If that is the case and you have two cards , you can do as I first said and use the 460 as a physix card or try to sell it.

Okay but you only answered the question that is of my least concern now.
Can you read the whole post and answer the more important one if you know?:p

Thanks.

@Inzone - i have a gtx 460 now, and im considering to wait for a pricedrop on 6970 or the nvidia alternative.
Do you think it's going to happen in next 6 weeks?

you already have been answered, the link provided shows different GPUs including GTX 460, GTX 560 performance in Metro 2033.
GTX 460 is hitting 17 FPS while GTX 560 is hitting 23 FPS.
for me it's not too much difference, and it's all depending on your gaming resolution ? what resolution will you be gaming at ?
if i were you i would stick with the GTX 460 till the new nVidia GTX 6K series come out and grab a strong GPU

1. You can't SLI a GTX 560 and GTX 460
2. The GTX 560 is 15% faster with both cards at stock clocks
3. As far as future price changes your guess is a good as anyone's
4. If you have a GTX 460 already sit tight for the next generation of cards or get another to SLI. They're pretty cheap right now.
