GTX 550 Ti

I was wanting to play FF14 and it says i need a Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 or equivalent.
I was looking at this GTX 550 Ti, the card is cheaper but i was wondering if it is equivalent, better or worse?

Heres the card i was thinking about getting :

The 550 is indeed substantially slower than the GTX460; find a 460(1gb), not an SE version, not a 768 MB version...

The 5770 seems to generally be a little faster (or just trade blows depending on the benches you look at) and a bit cheaper. Even so the 550Ti should give you pretty good performance and was not out when they came up with the FF14 requirements or it probably would have made the recommended. If you want to use better than medium settings though (looking at the min I'm guessing thats what recommended aims for), then getting a faster card is something you should consider. For a little more than you would pay for that 550 TI you can get a Radeon 6850 or a GTX 460 which preform better. This ASUS 460 768 is only $150 and worth the extra $5 unless you really really really want the photoshop elements that 550 ti comes with
