i am looking to upgrade the graphics card of my inspirion, im looking into getting the gtx 550ti and if i need a better psu for that graphics card, mine currently is a 300w, and if this is even a good enough graphics card for what i want to do , i want to run dayz standalone with somewhat good settings i dont have to have the best but want it smooth but look ok, and some other games of that caliber, i dont play much fast action all the time fps games so thats not an issues mostly dayz, WoW, Hearthstone, Diablo 3, and some others, my cpu by the way is a amd amd athlon ii x2 250

The frame rate and smoothness will depend on the resolution you plan on running the game(s).
The GTX 550ti is a 116W card maxed out. (9.7 amps @ +12V) It requires a 6 pin aux cable. I doubt the stock Dell PSU has that or has the +12V rail capacity to handle the card. Check the nameplate on the PSU for the +12V rail's specs.
