gtx 550ti power supply

Hi, so I recently bought a gtx 550ti 1gb with MSI cooler, my cpu is a8-6600k and I have 8gb of ram HyperX Fury 1866Mhz, also I have 300gb HDD.My PSU is 500w +12V-20A,and I have the adapter to the six pin to my gpu, as I have read gtx 550ti needs 400w and +12V-24A .My problem is that whenever I start to game my pc turns off within 5-10mins of gaming and then turns back on.I was just curious if this is because of the low amperes ? I have also ordered a new PSU - EVGA 450 BT 80+ BRONZE 450W which states that it has +12V-35A, do you reckon this would fix my problem ?Thanks in advance!

I would say yes most likely. +12V-20A is only 240W. The EVGA 450BT will be enough power.

Again a piece of scrap metal called PSU The EVGA will do for sure.
