GTX 560 or HD 6870 ?

I think there is no doubt that GTX 560 is stronger than HD 6850
now my question is:
is GTX 560 stronger than HD 6870 too?
I mean mostly for gaming purposes, I know it differs in some conditions and from game to game, but totally which one you recommend for games?

It is close and in some games the 6870 i better but I would go with the 560ti

560 Ti is a little expensive and I have the options of GTX460 , GTX 560 and HD 6870
and I think I should buy one of GTX 560 or HD 6870,
my cpu is intel core i5 2500k.

😍 6870 😍 but actually they are quite the same. ( 6870 a bit faster ) Depends also on the games you play. 6870 is less powerhungry and a bit cheaper i believe, so i think it's the best choice for your money.

dude, if your cpu is not HIGH END then go for 6870. If your cpu i high end, like i5 2500 etc, go for the GTX560 IF! AND ONLY IF YOU DONT CARE ABOUT POWER EXPENSES! otherwise 6870 IS FINE!!

if you get 40fps on 1920x1200 with 6870 or 60 fps with GTX 560 and you are fine with both, go for 6870. There are new cards coming in few months why spend alot of money for 10 -20 fps more?

Thanks mates, you know I have seen some comparisons between HD6870 and gtx560ti about games tests, and gtx560ti was winner of those tests, but I haven't seen comparison between HD6870 and gtx560 and that's why I asked you. is there any tests results of gtx560 in gaming?
at first I was going to buy gtx460 but then I decided to spend a little more money to get gtx560 with better performance, I don't want to spend more than 180-190 $ for now.
so at the end as conclusion is this true you all agree that 6870 is more powerful for games?

The GTX 560 (The non Ti one) is nothing more than an higher clocked GTX 460.
I an neutral when it comes to graphics cards I use both Nvidia and AMD (formerly ATI)
if you are looking at either the HD 6870 or the GTX 560 with your current CPU I would go with the HD 6870.
if you had the money I would suggest the GTX 560 Ti, but that is not in your buget so go with the HD 6870.

The 6870 and the 560 are almost identical cards. Their performance across the benchmarks is tic-for-tac the whole way. And with there only being a $10.00 difference between them, I think the choice is yours.
