Hi all, I'm getting this card and I just noticed that my old 250 watts PSU could never be able to handle it (Duh 😛 ). So I decided to upgrade this as well and I'm wondering if I made a good choice. Will it be alright with that GPU? I also have an AMD Phenom II X2 with two cores unlocked (making it a X4 technically), 1 hard drive and this motherboard. Thanks in advance. :)

Solution
Good quality 500w unit will be plenty for a single GTX 560Ti.

Recommended PSU brands include;
XFX
Corsair
SeaSonic
Antec
Cooler Master (Silent Pro range)
OCZ (some, not all - check reviews)

500W is waaaay pushing it. Even nVidia recommended is 550W. Maybe you meant 600W?

As your motherboard has only one PCIe 2.0 slot, you'll never SLI that 560 Ti.

For a single GTX 560 Ti, a quality 500W PSU is recommended. You can check out the Corsair CX500 or the Seasonic S1II 520W.

Gigabyte SOC 560Ti (1GHz core) with Core i7 965 / X58 system (OC 3.75GHz)

System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 351W

Very power hungry system and still only draws 350w from the wall. 500w PSU would be plenty. Especially a good quality 80PLUS unit. 600w is enough to power GTX 570.

Good to know, then!
