Gtx 570 overheating

Hi, this is my first post

So i have MSI gtx 570 for around 2 years now and i never had any problems with it temp range was betwen 45C and 80C depending on load that was with me cleaning my pc evry 2 months. But now my gpu hes goten up to 98C in game witch is insane. Game was AC3 and it claimbed form 60C to 80C in around one minut and to 98C in like 5 or 6 mins. Last time i playd AC3 was arount month ago when it was up to 81C i didnt play any games in betwen but i updated my drivers to 314.07 could that have something to do with it? as soon as i notest i cleand my pc with wacum cleaner as alweys but i didnt pull the gpu out. I cleand a lot of dust but it didnt help at all. On top of that all i have pretty agresive cooling fan profile in msi afterburner ( at 50C or below it is 50% of fan speed and above that it is 1C for 1% for exsemple 56C is 56% fan speed up to 80C where it jumps to the max 85% fan speed).
Desktop and browsing temp is 50 - 60 so do my gpu just need some serius cleaning or is something else wrong also do i need to open it if i need is it safe and can someone exsplain how to do it i am pretty good with computers but i never opend gpu case
also is it safe to leave it that wey and ignor it or it would fry gpu and if some one know what is normal temp for this gpu (under load and desktop)
my config is
CPU: Q6600 2.4 Ghz (no OC)
GPU: MSI GTX570 (no OC)
RAM: 8gb
SPU: 600W

Sounds like your GPU is busted m8. Perhaps you should RMA or upgrade or switch it out

I dont know what RMA means and i dont think that upgrade would have manch seanse with q6600 i alredy have big bottleneack.
And can you exsplane why you think gpu is busted and need replacing when it works perfectly if you ignore overheating? i mean fan mby busted but if gpu whre busted i would exspect artifacts.

98c is overheating. So your fan is running full blast when it hits that temp? Your idle/desktop temps are too high as well. Maybe something got messed up with your fan curve and it's not actually running as fast as it needs to?

Since you cleaned everything inside the case, the next step for me would be to open up the card, remove the heatsink, and replace the thermal paste. It's acting like a bad connection with the heatsink. Either that, or there's something faulty with the circuitry or fan.

Don't ignore it. Go to Youtube and check out some videos on how to carefully remove the cover and heatsink.

Tnx for replay and video is great exsplanation just is my 570 and 580 wich is exsplaned in the video same. And yes my fan is runing on full blast sence 80C and i am sure theat my curve is good caz i set afterburner to show fps fan speed and temp in games.

If you replace the thermal compound on the card and don't notice a difference... you need to try to RMA (Return Manufacture Authorization) which basically means you ship your card to the factory and they fix it (most of the time)

Just to say that i menaged to fix it without termal peist it was just realy dusty. And i want to say how in case sopmbady fainds it usefull i pulled gpu out of pc with a plan to open it and clean it but then i saw a warenty sticker and didnt want to brake it. So i used a compressed air to blow at back side of gpu (one where you plug in monitor) and wacum cleaner to sack air at the fan at the same time and amount of dust that came out was unbolivable. So tanks evryone for replays and i hope that someone will faind this trick usefull for cleaning gpu without voidning waranty.
