GTX 570 SSC is Throttling

I have a Evga GTX 570 SSC in my other machine (FX-6300 @ 4.0GHZ). When I run the Furmark 1080p Benchmark, I get a low score and a noticeable stop-and-go effect during the run. Also during this time, the worded display at the top of the screen switches back and forth between Core 398 and Core 797... and Throttle: Mem 399 and Mem 1951 The temps are normal for this card during the run. This occurs even early in the run before the card has generated much heat

Since I had a 2nd identical GTX 570 from another machine, I swapped cards thinking the 1st card had problems. But the exact same thing happens with the 2nd card in its place. And stranger, this also happened when I had both of these cards in my rig in my sig too.

Anyone have an idea as to why this effect would happen? I notice no issues in gaming.

If you don't know, Nvidia and AMD already know Furmark kills cards, so they make it throttle in programs such as Furmark and OCCT. Its not a problem with the card, its just safety precautions set in the drivers that you can't disable. Sorry.

I see. But this never happened with other Nvidia cards I've had. In fact, the 2 x GTX 660's I have in my sig. machine don't do this. Singularly or in SLI. Same ver of Furmark and same Nvidia driver. But it's food for though...

Anyone of you folks have an Nvidia card that does this?

OK. Looks like you were correct. I tried a different version of Furmark and the problem doesn't happen. Here are the results from 2 older versions, both with different results. Only the latest version (not shown) presents the stutter issue and unusually low FPS. And then only with my GTX 570s. Thanks for the advice. I was beginning to worry the card(s) were defective.
