GTX 570HD only works WITHOUT driver on Windows 10

At first I was having a BSOD issue with DXGMMS2.sys but I think this is because I downgraded from a GTX 960 and didn't properly remove the drivers first.

Now I've solved that and I cannot get any video output from the card after driver activation. ie. video output works fine in safe mode, BOOT/POST/BIOS, recovery options. But as soon as windows tries to boot normally I get no video output whatsoever. (No signal)

Please help I'm desparate, any ideas?

Currently in my system:
i5-2500k
4gb ripjaws x ram

Any source for that?

That's the latest driver 372.90 - WHQL
For x64 Windows 10........ and the 570 (and even 4XX series) cards are listed as supported...

http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3710/~/which-nvidia-gpus-are-supported-in-windows-10%3F

That's a list of nVidia GPUs supported with Windows 10 at launch.

All Maxwell, Kepler, Fermi (includes GTX 570's) & Tesla GPUs are supported....

DX12 isn't supported until 6XX series and greater*, but that's not Windows 10 as a whole.
*Or wasn't. Last I heard Fermi (4XX and 5XX) were going to have some form of DX12 capability though a driver update..... but I don't know if that ever happened.

Hi, yes I used DDU in safe mode to remove the driver and confirmed all nvidia services were gone. I should've mentioned someone else was having the same issue on their machine, using Windows 10, I'm just not sure if this is a hardware or software issue considering it works fine up until driver activates.

Thanks!

Where did you find this "someone else" having a similar issue? Could you link it? Just curious - are they using the same hardware?

Which driver are you attempting to install/activate? If the latest one is where the issues are stemming from, try an older version...

Yes I tried the latest one and that caused me to have other issues, it was bugging out and I couldn't really run geforce without it crashing, I'll try that again now though. I've been trying to use version 347.88 so as not to get the issue with dxgmms2.sys that I was getting before. (Blue screen)

The other person was someone else who tested the same physical card I have, I'm not sure about their hardware.

Okay so, going to try the newest driver again, if that doesn't work I'm going to install windows 7 on my secondary and test from there.
