GTX 580 1.5GB vs AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB

I will be playing Battlefield 3, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Crysis 2, Skyrim at 1920x1080 ultra settings.

If I get the AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB I have to pay +$21 USD. Is it really worth it?

Yes it's worth it. The 7970 in crossfire is better than the GTX580 in SLI. Since you like your graphically intensive games, a year from now when games get even more eye blistering you might want another 7970.

Yes, get it! It is way better, and crossfire is better than sli. It is way better performance and it can play all those games maxed settings plus more.
I have one and crossfired it and it is off the charts.
