Gtx 580 wont power up

I'm doing a new build and I connected my new gtx 580 using a six and two for the 8 pin requirement and a six without the 2 for the six pin. It won't power up.

What do you have for a MB , PSU ( make , model and modular?) and what brand is the GTX 580.
