It's normal, but you could turn up the fan profile with MSI afterburner for a little better cooling. Nvidia's goal with the 590 was to have it run quiet, so they let it get to the edge of reason with temps.

Today the temperatures for my GTX 590s first core hit 88.0*C and the second core 92.0*C
I'm kind of having a mini-heart attack right about now.
Please tell me if this is normal.
Its not healthy... But do able, I had a gtx 590 and returned it to the shop yesterday. It was getting extremely hot and had a lot of strange effects.. like sometimes framedrops on unexplainable moments of a game the card could easily handle.
When playing Bad Company 2 my pc mostly crashed after 30min to prevent damage to the system.
I had a gtx295 before and had no problems @ all> HAF 932
