I have a couple gtx 590s with Koolance waterblocks that I removed from my primary setup a couple years ago before moving. I know under optimal SLI optimized games a 590 is roughly equal to a 7970ghz ed. I have searched for current benchmarks or gaming results for the 590 with the most recent drivers, not surprisingly this info isn't out there.
The question, is a gtx 590 or two worth the effort of setting up the cooling loop. I already own everything I would need. Probably 20-30 mins of work to add a gpu only loop to the system.
Would be adding to a box I have been using as an esxi server
cpu: fx 8350 running at 5ghz across 6 cores on water
mobo: asrock 990fx extreme9
memory: 16gb 2133
psu: have an unopened corsair hx1050 (cutting is really close here for 2)
ssd: 240gb ssd of some sort
case: would use a switch 810 that's packed away
Appreciate it if anyone who is using a 590 or two could share their performance details.
