Hi.

I have 1280x1076 max resolution and so my question is if there is any noticable performance difference between the two on that resolution?

Will I be able to play most/all games on max on that resolution on both of them?

Cant have 7750 or 7770 cause they don't support pc-ie 16x 1.0. So gtx 650 will play all games on max at 1280x1076?

a gtx 650 is one of the worst gtx cards EVER, it will not play games at max
650 ti is better.
but a 7850 would be really good.
and i think u should get a new pc bcoz the 1.0 pci-e is just too old and i dont know how well it will hold up the current gen cards

Err, my first time giving specs! Sorry for the triple posts, freaking mobile surfing!

Motherboard MSI G41M-P23 (only one pc-ie 16x 1.1)
DualCore Intel Pentium E5700, 3000 MHz (15 x 200)
Dual ram (2 + 1g, 1333hz) - gonna upgrade it to 6g-2+4g
Curently Sapphire Radeon HD 5450 1gb.

Anything else?

I think all video cards are backwards compatible. They should run in a pcie 1.0 mobo without problem. Do not get a gtx 650 or HD7750. Try to go at least for a HD7770 or gtx 650ti. However, these 2 cards require an additional 6 pin power connector from your power supply. You can use a adapter if your psu doesn't have the connector, just make sure that your psu can handle the cards. If your psu can not handle them, then I think that HD7750 is better than GTX650. Post your PSU specs.

650 Ti is about 40 percent faster than the native 650. I would personally go with GTX 650 Ti just to be sure that you don't upgrade the GPU soon

i dont know anthing about your brand of PSU, if u think it is good quality u can keep it,
but i would say get a new one of a trusted brand like seasonic corsair etc.
of wattage around 430-450W
and for 160
u can get a 7850!! it is noticably faster than 650ti

or a bit more future proof
http://www.computeruniverse.net/en/products/90480232/xfx-radeon-hd-7850-2gb-core-edition.asp
if u want to keep your PSU u'll need molex to 6-pin connectors.
but i would recommend a new PSU aswell, or u may ruin your GPU.
PSU is not where u want to cheap out!!

From what I heard, having only Pc-ie 1.0 and a card running on pc-ie 3.0 reduces the trasnfer speed or something, so I won't get max from a 7850, so if I get a 650 i'll get the same as from 7850?

Just get a secondhand gtx460/560 for like $100 and not look back unless you dig deep for a gtx660. AMD cards don't always play well with pci-e1.1 era and older boards.

I suggest that you start saving for a new build or a new board and cpu.
