Hello,

I've recently been monitoring my GPU started monitoring my temperatures in Battlefield 3 on my EVGA GTX 650(not overclocked) and I am a bit worried about the temperatures I've been getting. With the resolution set at 1920x1080 and all the settings on low the highest temperature I've seen is 72C and it's been averaging 64C-69C.
My temps in other games that are less graphic intense are in the high 40's to mid 50's. So my question is, are the temps I'm achieving normal for that type of GPU in battlefield 3, and are they going to harm my GPU?

My setup-
GPU- EVGA GeForce GTX 650@stock clocks(averaging 60+FPS at all times)
CPU- AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE @3.4Ghz cooled with cooler master hyper 212 EVO(temps don't pass 50C in BF3)
RAM- 7GB @1066Mhz
PSU- Cooler Master Elite 460Watt
Case- Dell case with one 90mm exhaust fan,one 120mm cpu fan, and two vents on the side panel
HD- 500 GB
OS-Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bi

Two things you could try:

1) Increasing the speed of the fan profile. Using a GPU utility like Precision X or Afterburner, you can create a custom fan profile. If the card goes over 60C for example, have it ramp up the fan speed for 60%-70% or whatever is the highest you can manage without the card becoming loud and annoying.

2) Give us an idea of your case's airflow set up and we can diagnose a way to improve airflow.

However, as it stands, your temps are not worrisome, but they could be lower if you take one of the forementioned approaches.
