my system recognizes the graphic card and in the device manger it shows my display adapter as gtx 650 ti.when the vga plug is attached to my gtx 650 ti the boot screen and desktop(low resolution) appears without any nvidia drivers installed....but when i install the nvidia drivers and restart, my screen goes blank(different colors appear each time i restart like once blue and once green...)....plz some one help...........

my guess is that
1. there is some problem with driver where my cpu and gpu are not compatible
2. some problem in vga driver.

my old card is nvidia 8400 gs and when i attach it my screen comes normally........the only problem is when i attach my gtx 650 ti and restart my pc the display crashes at the log in screen.

what i have done till now
1. updated bios
2. changed bios settings.
3. finished windows update.
4. installed all the previous drivers for the card including beta versions but it din't matter.

my specs
processor : intel core 2 duo E7400 2.8 GHz
mother board: gigabyte ga g311m es2l
psu : cool master 550 w RS-550-PCAr
ram : 4gb ddr2 ram
hard drive : 320 gb
gpu : nvidia geforce 8400 gs
at present trying to attach my palit gtx 650 ti

i have the same configuration likes yours but my graphics card is Asus GTX 650 TI and works awesome with my cooler master extreme power plus 600 watt and can even play games at ultra . I don't quite trust Palit 🙁 . I guess The problem with yours is the graphics cards isnt getting its full power required through PSU after installing drivers 🙁 , can you return the card ? and get HD7770 which requires less power ! 🙁

i have the same problem but i have gtx 650 non ti, did u fixed the problem, if yes then how. please reply.

still could not find a solution......the card works without the drivers installed meaning the screen shows up......but when the drivers are installed the screen goes into different colors....sometimes blue, green, orange etc etc....if you find a solution please let me know......

mine when installed driver after restart at login screen gives a beep sound, turns screen black and restarts 🙁
someone told me it is a psu problem.
the friend u tried ur card, which psu he got.

edit: i will give u an advice, u borrow ur friends psu whom u tried ur card and conect it with ur computer and then connect ur card and see if it works.
i know u have cooler master(good brand) but sometimes we get unlucky that we get a faulty thing

if u try it on ur friends psu and it works then post it here, i can try it myself but mine friends dont have good psus.

right now i cant test it on my friend's psu as he lives pretty far from my place.........when the driver was installed and restarted for the first time.....my desktop showed up and right then after two seconds the screen goes blank......i don't think its psu's fault here......still I've got no friends who have pc's with more than 400w psu's......

that is a bad news, atleast call hime and tell him which psu he got or how much amperes he had.
one thing more is your dvi or vga good, i think there is the problem. check the cables or try on other.
the screen went into colours or black only happens to me when vga or dvi cable is not properly connected or at fault.

edit: when u used it on friends computer, did u used same vga or dvi or instead used friends dvi or vga.
can u hear sound after screen went black then its definitely vga or dvi problem

no its not the dvi or vga cable problem as the system hangs when the screen goes blank.........the num lock light doesn't change when i switch it in on or off.............and when i tested it on my friends pc he used his monitor's vga cable......

Hi. What connection is you monitor plugged into on the graphics card? If your screen goes off, try selecting different inputs on your monitor. Ie. dvi, htmi etc. match the setting to what you are using / and confirm you have monitor correctly attached to card.

its connected to vga of the graphics cards.......

I had exactly the same problem - which I think came down to the Nvidia HD Audio driver screwing me up. Here's what worked for me:

Clean install of Win 7 SP1 (with the GTX 650 ti in the system)
Install only the Intel gigabit Ethernet driver on top of this
Download the latest Nvidia driver package (314.22)
Install *only* the graphics driver - no 3D, no audio, no Physx, no updater
Reboot, and it magically started working...
Then install all the other chipset drivers, etc., update Windows, and that's it.

My config: Asus p8z77-v pro MB, Intel 3770k, 16G (8x2) DDR3-2400, Asus GTX-650 ti, 2x WD1002FAEX, Fractal Tesla 650W ps

This worked for me, your mileage may vary...

Try using DVI connection to graphics card instead of VGA. If no dvi you probly need a new / updated monitor. If you have haven't tried yet, as system boots, see if the monitor has a button, switch etc to change modes. At one point I had to press this on monitor to set it to right input selection.

i tried it just now...and the problem still remains...did everything as you told...a yellow screen appeared 2 seconds later right after the desktop appeared were i could move the mouse and everything was fine...but that lasted only for two seconds.....

hello,
know me, i was having same problem as u. i just replaced my psu with my cousin which some cheap psu but was having 22a on 12v(20a minimum for my card) and when i started my pc then it crashed again then i took out my 1gb ddr2 ram from second slot (now remains only 2gb ram in one slot) and i started my pc and magically it worked all games so far are working good
