I am thinking of buying a gtx 650ti 1gb or 2gb it will probably be a gigabyte
my power supply is a
Cooler master eXtreme Power Plus 500W (RS-500-PCAR-A3)

current config - 8800gt, core 2 quad q6600, 1 tb + 500gb hdd, 3 X 2gb RAM, SATA DVD WRITER and i have a D-link LAN card on the pci port

so will the new 650 ti run properly on this 100%??

Probably. But it's not a very good power supply and over time power supplies experience capacitor ageing making them less powerful as they get older. The GTX 650 Ti uses less power than an 8800GT. So like I said it will probably work. That does not mean I would trust it. It's just not a good power supply.

The 650 Ti needs a recommended 430w power supply. The bad news is that the Coolermaster EPP 500w power supply is one of the reasons Coolermaster has such a bad power supply reputation. It fails in HardOCP testing.

Will it work? Probably it will if you had an 8800GT on it. I would not use it for any system I cared about though. You can get a Corsair 430CXM on a crazy good sale right now at newegg for $24.99 after rebates.
