Question GTX 650 won't work on an asrock motherboard.

Specs:
i5 2400

16gb ddr3

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Motherboard

EVGA GTX 650 1 GB

So I know both parts work, as the motherboard works with the IGPU and with a gtx 1080, and the gtx 650 works in my other pc, a ryzen desktop. Is there a reason why it won't work? I have tried taking out the cmos battery and have tried both pcie slots. What else can I try or is there any settings in the asrock bios I need to turn on prior to using it? Thanks so much!

That motherboard tends to need a cmos reset, when you change out the GPU. At least mine always did.

You reset the cmos by removing the battery? If so I did that and then put in the gtx 650 but it didn't work still. I can try it again though! Thanks, ill post my results in a bit

try enable CSM for gpu
some 650s doesnt have uefi bios, so they either needs to be running in legacy mode or manualy imsert gop driver into gpu bios
