Im building a gaming pc for my friend. I have a question about gpu's. In MY pc i got the EVGA GeForce GTX650Ti Boost SuperClocked 2GB GDDR5 192bit, Dual-Link DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI,DP, SLI Ready Graphics Card. it is 170 on amazon. or should i get him the EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SUPERCLOCKED 2048MB GDDR5 DVI HDMI DP Graphics Card 02G-P4-2662-KR for 215? the 660 has more cuda cores but has less base and boost mhz. with my 650ti boost i can max out bf3 with 50-60 fps. what should I get him?

Solution

so you need to make the call if that's worth an xtra $45.

My own preference would be to get the greater performance if I could afford to do so. I know...

some point I'd be 2nd guessing myself if I went the less expensive route when I could have
gone with the better performance.
