GTX 660 and Phenom combo?

Hey, I would like to ask will the whole system be stable If I'd pick a GTX660.
Current VGA are 2x 5770 , I have repaired BGA on both, having huge fpsdrops/buzzing noise when shadows/AA and some effects are turned on.
Current CPU is Phenom II 955BE @ stock , 2x 4Gb Corsair Dominator , 990FXA-UD3 from Gigabyte and EVGA Supernova G2 850W.
Should I pick the card? Will the system handle it? I wouldnt play so often nowaday games , I just want to pick a better VGA than the current one.
