I was thinking about getting a second-hand GTX 660 from a trusted friend, i'm wondering if my psu could handle it or fall short.

Spec:
MB MSI 870-G45
Athlon II X4 645 3.1GHz
2x4GB DDR3 1333
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB
no SSD, no Optic drives or extra fans connected
*current gpu* GT730 DDR5 1GB
But i like to know about GTX 660

PSU: GREEN GP430A
as the label on it says:
+12v1 | +12v2 | +5V | +3.3V
16A | 16A | 30A | 30A

Solution

Your PSU can absolutely handle the GPU. It has double 12 volt rail and those two only give almost 380 watts alone.
