Hi all,

I have been experiencing some crashes (both my monitors freeze, but music only interrupts for a second), so I have been thinking about an upgrade. I suspect that my video card is the issue, so i'm looking to upgrade it.
I currently have:
450w PSU, Gtx 660, i7 3770 3.4Ghz (not overclocked), 8gb DDR3 RAM, a 64gb SSD mostly used for the OS, a 1tb HHD, with win10 installed.
Should I get an PSU+GPU upgrade, leaving the CPU untouched? I'm looking for a new high range video card such as a gtx1070. Will the CPU bottleneck the GPU for gaming/and or the occasional rendering? Any other sugggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah just change the gpu and PSU (if necessary) .If you can find a gtx 1070 at regular price buy it . Most of the gtx 1070s are overpriced. Gtx 1060 6gb is enough for 1080p gaming .Most of the time u get around 60fps at ultra .In few games tweak few settings and it can keep around 60fps . Processor is good enough no need to change for now
