Yes it will. A PCI-e x16 video card just needs a motherboard with a PCI-e x16 slot. Pretty much every motherboard manufactured in the last 10+ years has a PCI-e x16 slot. Pretty much every video card manufactured uses PCI-e x16 some use PCI-e x8 and perhaps a few are x4 or x1 but they all work in a x16 slot. While there are PCI-e 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 they are backwards compatible.

The real issues regarding a video card are your PSU, Case and cooling. The PSU must provide enough power and have the right connectors for your card. Generally a 500w model with a 6+2 pin PCI-e power connector is enough some cards need more power or connectors. The case must be large enough to fit the card. Generally a 500w model with a 6+2 pin PCI-e power connector is enough some cards need more power or connectors. The case must be large enough to fit the card. It will need a full length, double wide, full height slot space. So small form factor and short cases are out. It also needs sufficient air flow to supply the card with cool air. Generally you want one 120mm intake and one 120mm exhaust. At a bare minimum you want at least one 120mm fan but the card will run fairly hot.

Edit: Unless this is a card you have lying around. I assume you are looking at used video cards. Look at used GTX 660 Ti (2GB, 3GB) and 760 (2GB, 3GB, 4GB). Looking at used prices on eBay they run about the same as a regular GTX 660 but are a considerable improvement. The GTX 660 Ti and GTX 760 are nearly identical to each other. You may even find a better deal on a GTX 670 which is even better. A 4GB GTX 770 can be had for under $100. If you are dedicated at finding a deal.
