GTX 660 new install not working

Hello,
I have a GTX 660 that I am installing on a new build. The mobo vga works fine, but when I install the 660, I get no monitor response (VGA NO SIGNAL). The mobo is a GA z77xup4th and the monitor is an ASUS vs278. Any ideas

Already attempted this and had to reset cmos to get video. It does not appear to even recognize the monitor when I attach it to the 660.

I'm not familiar with that Lucid video technology mumbo jumbo that board has. would that by any chance be a problem... trying to combine the intel on board with the graphics card?

and is there any kind of "switch"....... say kinda like in a laptop that has dual graphics?

The 660 only has a 6 pin connector

Power supply wattage and amps on the 12v rail?

im having this exact same problem, running a 450w psu and getting n monitor response even though the fans and everything run on to the card
