I've gotten some bad luck with this forum before, but I am willing to give it another shot.

My question is i'm looking at investing in a EVGA GTX 780 to up my gaming experience from my two ASUS GTX 660s and I want to know how much better performance would I be looking at in comparison to my GPUs I currently have.

p.s. I dont want to buy a 700 dollar 780 TI just throwing that out there its either one or the other.

Solution
You should just stick to the SLI 660s that you already have.

Update:
Just my opinion. The gains you would get is not really worth the cost right now. Or you could get dual 760s for the same price as a single 780 and get better performance in SLI games. I would strongly suggest waiting until the next generation of GPUs are out and then plop down the cash for a great card then.

Ok i'll bite the bullet for now and save my money. The reason I posted here is because there seemed no feedback on this issue just people saying how great the 780 and 780 TI are.

I'll deal with it and just save up enough to buy a whole new setup because my AMD mobo and CPU are getting dated.

Thanks for all of your swift responses!

Glad to have been able to help a bit. I have a GTX 780 Ti, and yes it is great...but there are plenty of other GPU options to come in around the same performance level. Besides, it all really depends on the setup. If just playing at 1080p, single monitor, 60 fps, then there are a ton of options for hitting ultra settings. And for $700 that is a lot of money that can really far in a new build. Heck, if you put away $20 a month for the next year or year and a half...you could build one heck of a PC for gaming. Good luck.
