ok i have been saving up for a graphics card, and i decided on the 7870 at first, but with the recent release of the GTX 660, I can't decide on which card to get....

the main thing the cards would be used for is recording gameplay footage for youtube lets play videos and such... the main problem is, lots of games these days are "The Way Its Meant To Be Played" games, meaning they are specifically coded to work best on nvidia cards, so its kind of hard to decide which card to get :/... any help is greatly appreciated

+1 If you dont intend to upgrade to 1080p, dont bother with more expensive GPUs. If you do, HD 7870 is better than 660 in most cases, and usually is only $10-20 more expensive, so it is a better buy.

Ok, so I have a intel i5-3570k and my monitor is 1080p. What should I go for?

Will it make any difference if its only 1GB DDR5 or should I go with 2GB. I'm using it to play games, render videos etc
