I have gotten 4 fans used it at full speed and GPU temps still can't get under 80C under full load, I'm usually at 87C when playing games like battlefield, I bought this card off EVGA refurbished so I was wondering if I need to change out the thermal paste? Also, when your GPU is overheating does it get worse performance?

Solution
Well if the gpu is overheating it can thermal throttle thus affecting performance. First thing id do is make sure the actual heatsink of the gpu is nice and clean-remove any excess dust build up using compressed air. Then you could download an app such as MSI afterburner or EVGA precision X and set a custom fan curve-this will affect the speed the actual GPU fans spin at certain temps. Last option would be changing the thermal paste but I'd only recommend it if you are a tad tech savvy as it can be a bit of a difficult process if youre not experienced in doing it.
