GTX 660 Psu

Solution
the CX 500 will be fine, your GPU/CPU will become unstable before the PSU won't handle it. Most people OC on really cheap PSU's, this is cheap, but is decent, that one should be fine.

Only if you were to do extreme overclocking on the CPU, a better PSU would be needed, your CPU is not unlocked, meaning limited OC, the CX 500 should be plentiful.

well that's a different question all together...

ok
1. what PSU do you currently have?
2. What overclock settings have you applied and how did you apply them?

what did you increase? the core clock? memory clock? or both?

all GPUs have their limit

If you raised it gradually core/mem clock and it crashed, then that's is probably the limit of your GPU

getting a better PSU will not guarantee you can overclock the GPU further
