Hey everyone. I am beginning to put together my new gaming pc (ordering parts from newegg) and I am having second thoughts about my graphics card. Right now, it is between the Zotac GTX 660 ti AMP! and the Radeon 7950 Boost. From what I've seen, the Radeon card has better specs overall, though it has a lower clock speed. In addition, benchmarks show that the 660 ti has a higher average fps, and is more stable. I've also heard that the drivers for the Radeon cards are poor, while Nvidias are superior. If someone who's savvy with graphics cards could guide me in making a decision, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks all.

I have heard of that graphics card, but I don't believe anyone is sure of its specs yet... Though I would guess its superior to the 660 ti. How do you think it will compare to the 7950 boost?
Actually, after reading a couple articles, its starting to sound as though the 760 is worse then the 660 ti.

Right now it seems to be like the GTX760 will be at least as powerful as the HD7950. Which is in turn a little better than a GTX660ti, depending on the game. BUT the GTX760 ti will be price the same as a GTX660ti and at the same price. The GTX760 ti should be more powerful than the GTX670 which is better than an HD7950.

From the leaked specs I've seen, the 660 ti has a higher base clock speed, and 200 more cuda cores then the 760. Am I missing something here?

Everything I've seen suggests it's an OEM 660 non Ti that's been tweaked a bit but as it has less cores than a 660Ti I don't think its going to be a showstopper.

Hah, I thought I might be :). So I shouldn't worry about the possibility of less cores?

How are they crippled? Mine work just fine thanks and can run all my games at triple figure fps's and they fold like champs, so how are they crippled?

Maybe not a showstopper, but possibly still worth it?

Wait and see what the benchmarks say, whilst the increase in clock speed and bandwidth may help the cards true power comes from the core count and more is always better.

If the GTX660ti were to have a 265bit bus that thing would perform SOOO much better.
The 192bit bus was an intended cripple in my opinion to keep the product stack separated.

Rather look at real world benchmarks, do not rely on specs alone.

Man, that's a great price! Thanks for your continued assistance, I'll be picking up this card soon. :)
