Which card is better for an £700 build?

i will mostly be playing grand theft auto 4 with mods, skyrim with mods, and i might get call of duty black ops 2.

will these cards be able to max out the games if not what graphics level could they go on?

The R9 270 will be a (little) better.. But it really depends on what you plan on doing becuase if you go with the gtx 660 you'll get all the nvidia features like shadowplay! heres a link where the cards are compared http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-270-vs-GeForce-GTX-660

Depends on what else you're going to have in your system, you will be able to get an average FPS of 67 with both cards.. None of the cards will do better than the other in the listed games (with mods) because they have the same amount of onboard ram '2GB'
