GTX 660ti 3gb in SLI question

Im looking to upgrade my PC and im curious if the upgrade will be worth it. I currently have an evga gtx 660ti 3gb so edition in an asrock z77 extreme4 motherboard. I've never built an SLI system before so this is very foreign to me.

If I was to purchase another evga gtx 660ti 3gb so edition and upgrade my PSU to a 750wat, will the upgrade be significant?

Does anybody know what the performance will be equivalent to?

I just watched a video comparing 2 660 ti 2gb in sli vs 1 gtx 680 and the 660ti sli configuration performs 20-30% better so I imagine my 3gb cards in SLI should perform around the same if not better.

so the only question that remains is - is my motherboard good enough to run these two 660ti 3gb's in SLI? and do you think I should add more fans to my case?

Yes, your motherboard is good enough. It'll operate in 8x/8x PCIe 3.0 slots and even gives you 3 spaces between slots, so SLI can breath.

I see. is 8x/8x good? i see some motherboards that operate 16x/8x or 2@16x is the performance significantly larger on those other boards?

Your PCIe 3.0 8x/8x is the same as PCIe 2.0 16x/16x or at least very similar. Both of which have very minor losses in performance. Perhaps 3% at the most, likely less.

Your PCIe 3.0 8x/8x is the same as PCIe 2.0 16x/16x or at least very similar. Both of which have very minor losses in performance. Perhaps 3% at the most, likely less.
