Hey all!
Im having quite a major problem at the moment regarding my boot. As you can see in the linked video I turn on my pc and am assaulted by these red lines.
Some Background:
I've had the computer for about six months with no problems
About two months ago these problems would occur but simply unplugging and reattaching my DVI cable did the trick
I can boot into safe mode and get the desktop but these lines are still present

What I have tried:
I started with unplugging the DVI and reattaching but this did not work
I then turned everything off at the powerpoint and restarted my PC from cold
I have removed the graphics card reseated power pins and the card itself

At this point I really am at a loss and any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks a heap fellas!

I dont have a spare DVI cable but picking up a new one is an option.
Also if its any help I have just been jiggling the DVI input and the red lines are gone. I boot to the A3 in the righthand corner press F1 and I am taken onto boot normally, into safe mode etc. Choosing safe mode takes me to the desktop but choosing boot normally crashes after the loading windows screen.
Honestly mate thanks so much for the speedy reply!

Well chances are i'd lean towards that being the problem (The cable). Hmm the booting issue sounds like something different to me. If replacing the cable will get rid of the red lines then i'd get that and then worry about whats happening with the booting problems.

Trying a cable wouldn't hurt though because what he said was that it seemed to clear a bit when it was wiggled so it could just be a bad cable. As well have you tried using the other dvi port with the current dvi cable?

Also, if that new cable does not fix it I would pull the card and get a magnifying glass and take a good look at the solder connections on the Graphics card where the DVI connector is mounted. You might have a loose/bad connection. You can even get a friend to jiggle the cable while you look for any movement of the pins or solder.

Wow guys thanks so much for the help! DVI cord doesnt seem to be the problem because I boot into safe mode and everything looks fine (minus the wierd resolution safe mode gives you). The problem is I cant launch windows normally and get past the Load Windows/Microsoft Corporation screen

Can you get into BIOS screen?
If so, is it also red?
If it is, then can you borrow another vid card to see if this red still happens?
Also, what is that message that is on the screen at the end of you video...can't read it.

Hello all!
So after a lengthy couple of days I think the solution lies in a faulty card that has been sent away for warranty (still pending)
For anyone else having this problem in the future I can say that these things, listed below I have tried and have not worked:
Updating to latest BIOS
Updating to latest Nvidia drivers
The card did not work in a different PC
On that note a different monitor did not help either
I purchased a new power supply 300w above what my card required and while it fixed my hardrive problem it did not solve any gpu issues
I made a clean reinstall of windows and tried 6 different outdated drivers
I tried using the default windows drivers
I tried disabling the HD Audio, Stereoscopic 3d and PHYSX
I tried the dual monitor problem (where pressing control+p to switch screens due to Nvidia drivers thinking there are two monitors attached)
I tried logging in despite the black screen
I tried reseating RAM, CPU, GPU Harddrives and reattached all power, sata cords etc (pretty much rebuilt my pc)

Im really sorry if you are currently facing this problem because I know you are probably as frustrated as I was. As I said before none of these things worked for me but that doesn't mean they wont work for you. I'm really sorry I couldn't find any solutions and if and when I get my new video card I will update with results. Thanks so much for the help guys. Talk to ya soon!
