GTX 680 - 1 FPS in GW2...are you kidding me?

So, I built my first computer not even two months ago and I already have some problems--potentially big ones?

My exact and some even unimportant specs are:

At first GW2 ran flawlessly but now, not so much. I literally dropped to 1 FPS while panning around in the game. No, this wasn't in WvWvW. In fact, I don't remember even seeing a soul around when it dropped this low.

To make matters worse, I'm now dropping from 100 fps in counter strike 1.6 to the 40's. Yes, no typo, I just said 40 FPS in CS1.6. Keep in mind before tonight it was running flawlessly as well, as it should be for a game with so few of pixels.

WHAT gives? It seems time is taking a tole on my system and it's not even close to a year old and hasn't been over clocked.

I've updated all my drivers. When I look for new drivers it always says they're up to date.

Seems like you're due for an upgrade for the graphics card.

Just kidding. Try rolling back to previous drivers where you have gotten good performance like you're used to.

The reason is your monitor you need two 7950/7970GHz or two 670/680 to max out games on those monitors i know this for a fact.Crysis,Aliens v. Predators,Metro 2033,Witcher 2 and a few others you can not max out with a single 680.

Have you been OCing? I'd always start with the basics. Clean the machine of dust, virus, etc. Monitor temps to make sure that's not an issue. Might want to delete drivers and try a driver cleaner if you still cant find the issue.

Check temps, revert all OC and other custom settings.

Chipset drivers did that with me and my Nvidia 690

Games would go to shiat, and using the motherboard cd didn't help. Updated from web worked great

Is anything else hogging resources under task manager? Is your system working harder to keep up (fans running faster/computer generally noisier)? I see that you have an h100 liquid cooler, is it functioning ok - cpu temps in check?

Strange problem, mostly stuff you've probably thought about. I hope it works for you!

Perhaps run a benchmark program you are familiar with and see if it yields any strange results. Even something as basic as a windows preformence index may show you what's not functioning right
