GTX 680 2GB SC VS Sapphire HD 7970 OC with boost? Which is the best

Solution
At this point, there really is no significant difference. They're neck to neck with each other.

That said, I'd go with the similarly priced same Dual-X series Sapphire R9 280X http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1559&products_id=25328 as it will outperform both of those too giving just slightly better performance. More over it has quite some headroom for further overclocking.

I need to know between the 2 I listed as they are the ones just in my Budget.
Which would be better for BF4 and dayZ, bear in mind I might overclock more if I find necessary.

Did you check the link? R9 280X is 10$ more to your EVGA GTX 680. If it's 10$ too much, go with the Dual X 7970. That overclocks well too, just not as good as the newer 280X.

The 680 was already over my budget, so the 7970 will perform the best. Will it beat that 680 out of the box?

Like said, it's neck to neck. If theres a difference it's no more than few fps which falls in to the error margin anyhow. Just get the cheaper and better overclocking 7970. You can't loose.
