GTX 680 Classified or FTW

Do you guys think these cards are worth it? Or is a 7970 better? Also, can you please tell me the difference in performance between 4gb and 2gb. Does 4gb perform slower?

4GB is usefull for triple screen or 3d but 2gb is enough for any single screen resolution

It depends on the game you plays, in some NVIDIA win and on other it's AMD that's winning... Check benchmark of your favorite games and decide on that...

I would consider both depending on price but the FTW is surely cheaper and they're the same card, only memory option for 4gb vs 2gb but you can have the 4gb FTW so...

Based on price in my country, the FTW 2gb is almost 100$ cheaper so i would get that one...

Huh..is 2gb really good for any game at ultra 1080p? I thought games like Crysis 3 or Far Cry 3 would go to 2.5gb and higher. And Yeah, I'll most likely get the FTW, I read that Classifieds were pretty much the same, save for a little higher clock and 17 power phases (designed for extreme overclockers, I guess)

Also, people keep telling me that a 4gb card performs worse than a 2gb card. Is this true?

ASFAIK the problem with the nvi this generation that it had limited by it memory bandwidth, As u can see in higher resolution the performance will gradually drop...

it kinda makes the extra ram lost it value/purpose/meaning....
I think that the reason most people will not recommend 4 gig ram for nvi card.... (from value perspective)

btw with newest driver, it became clear the 7970 performance win over 680...
(u can see in Titan Benchmark article..)

this also one reason AMD/ATI not releasing the 8xxx card this year... >.<
