gtx 680 driver problem

my old graphic card is radeon hd 4890 , it work properly with the i7 860 and 8 gb of ram ( motherboard : biostar h55 hd ) i play gta v medium setting , i upgrade my card to gtx 680 but when i instal the lastest driver for gtx 680 its not working : when the windows start and when it show me the cursor in the black screen it take a few min to star the windows ... when windows start its like no graphic card instaled and when i enter to peripheral manager ( gestionnaire de périphérique ) it show me the gtx 680 driver with the yellow econ , the last driver for gtx 680 version is 24.21.13... but there is a version it worked for me its the 9.18.13... driver , it work but some games not working properly with this old driver , please guys i need help

Did you fully remove your prior GPU drivers for the 4890 before you installed the 680?

Run DDU and fully remove any traces of AMD & Nvidia drivers, then reinstall drivers for the 680.

this driver it work but its not good in games , drop frames and gta v not working for me : 9.18.13.3750

hi , i have a problem with my new card gtx 680 , i instal the last driver update 398.11 version : 24.21.13.9811 , and it got this problem : Windows has stopped this device because it has problems. (Code 43) / but when i instal a old driver 337.50 version 9.*..*..* it work but i have so much problem with this driver in games , its like nvlddmkm.sys blue sreen 0*00000116 , is anyone know this problem because of what ??

i try to uninstal the drive with ddu safe mod and i try to instal the driver on another pc .... same problem

GTX 680 is already some years old, thus the card could also be faulty. From where did you get it? Had 680 SLI in the past where also one of them broke after some time with similar error messages like you describe above. Therefore does not necessarily need to be a driver issue...unfortunately.

but what ebout the blue screen nvlddmkm.sys , maybe if i fix this problem the old driver work properly , i read some article maybe its because the power supply ! because the min power gtx 680 need is 550w and i have 520w !

do the 520W can do the nvlddmkm.sys blue screen problem with the gtx 680 or not ?

is your card overclocked? if so run it at stock and see if the problem goes away. if it is stock try underclocking it a little and see if that helps. card degrade over time.
