gtx 680 or hd 7870 for q9650

hi guys

I do not know which one is the best for my old rig between gtx 680 or hd7870 without any problem at all
I'm running my q9650 at stock speed and 8gb ddr3 1333mhz

my spec:
q9650 @3ghz
8gb ddr3 1333mhz
hd5500
500w psu 80+bronze

so what do you think about those cards?

You can use any gpu without any issue as long as your PSU permits.
With 500W, there should be really tons of choices.

680 is the better pick compared to 7870.
I would however rather go for 1050ti just to get newer generation.

I 2nd 1050ti as well. Its a little stronger than 680 using much less power

I wont choose gtx 1050ti, because newer graphic cards not support old bios but it need uefi

No, you will be fine. Uefi bios does not support older non uefi graphics cards. Uefi gpus work on legacy bios. I run a 1070 in my sig and many people are running lga 775 with these cards no problems.

1050ti is a little better than both. More vram, less power, more accessable and cheaper and new.

There will be a slight bottleneck, but no more than a 680 or 7870 would be. 1050ti's performance is slightly above those.

CSGO is an old game so lets give something bit more modern with newer architecture.

Since 680 is fairly old i don't expect to see it in any benchmarks along with 1050ti but GTX770 is and the 770 is an improvement over the 680.

So far bottlenecking, It is game dependent and the bottleneck will be your old Q9650, not the 1050ti.
