Hello, I found a really good deal on a GTX 750 non TI and I would like to know if there would be a bottleneck with my very weak system. I am looking to upgrade my CPU/Motherboard but I need extra funds, and that may be a while... Here are my specs.
AMD A6-3500 APU Tri-Core
8GB RAM
MSI A75MA-G55
Ultra 600W PSU- More info available if needed

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I think your components are fine exept cpu. Its the only thing that you should change but you can use it with gtx 750 until you get the money for new one it will cause small bottleneck in some games but in some it probably wont.

I like to play at medium-high, 30+fps

Hi,
I have been running a Gigabyte GTX 750 1GB OC for a couple of months now on my underpowered system and haven't had any bottlenecks on it.
It is unlikely it will bottleneck
My System is about the same as yours.
Parts:
Intel Core i3-4160 Dual Core
8GB DDR3 RAM
ASRock Z97M Anniversary
Antec VP500P V2 500W PSU

It has been a very good graphics card to me and handles most games I play, I just have to turn down a few settings. Try to set your resolution to 1080P instead of 1440P or just turn the quality down.

It will get 30+ FPS, just not at Ultra.

Hope this helped, :)

Than you dont need some really strong parts like i7 and gtx 960, you can get that gtx 750 and upgrade only your cpu to some quad core later whey you get the money, you dont need to change motherboard or anything else.
But if you got the money for some really good parts then go and buy them it will definetly be better than this but for 30+ fps on medium your components with gtx 750 and some quad core later will do just fine

Thank you, and my max resolution of 900p should help even more, I can't find any other card that competes for $65.00

I would like to thank you guys for your help, for $65 I think it will be worth it. It will definitely be better than using my integrated graphics. I don't game too often, but this should help me for a while.

To be honest, people really misuse the term 'bottleneck" a gtx 750 would only be bottlenecked by an old amd dual or single core cpu. If you wanted to in the littlest way "future proof your pc i would recommend upgrading the cpu but otherwise i wouldnt see any bottlenecking unless you are running metro lastlight or gta 5 at high settings. As for games at medium settings, a gtx 750 would be fine. If there is a 2gb version of a 750 then get it. I have a gta 750ti 2gb and it runs games at max settings. Gta 5 runs smooth at high-very high settings

Sorry man i accidentally voted you down i didnt mean to do it i just didnt know for what those arrows are for

Check his cpu...

Yes i know i do recomend that he upgrades

I will definitely upgrade in the future, but for now I think it will do. For $65, it's a great card that I can use until then, and then pass it on for when I build my dad a PC, because all he does is browse the web.

I already purchased and received the card, for the money I am very satisfied. New CPU is next!
