GTX 750 - Can I remove the I/O?

Solution
Provided that it can be fully slotted into the motherboard and screwed in, that is fine, it should touch the case, but if you cannot insert it any further, then your case or your card is to small or too large,
I see no reason why it shouldn't fit, have you made sure the case isn't bent or deformed in anyway that could prohibit the card from fitting? Its a fairly small card. I would not advise removing any of the IO shield, especially the part that holds it to the case, you certainly don't want it to sag the PCI slot and then wreck your motherboard.

Are you talking about the motherboard rear I/O plate?
They all are standard as are the openings on all cases.
It does take some pressure going all around the shield to get it evenly pressed into the case.

I don't understand why a graphics card should interfere at all.

Perhaps you can post a pic of the problem.

I do believe he is talking about the IO shield on the GPU Card, I could stand corrected, it wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong.

That is what i'm talking about. The Bent part of the IO at the top of the card is making it so the bottom part that extends past the bottom of the card can't get into place. Sorry if that's not descriptive enough, i'm trying to think of a way to take a picture that would show the problem.

Ummm, This is tricky, lets see, Make sure the expansion slot brackets are removed, screws not in the way, case not bent, PCI-E card slot latch open (assuming you have one). Thats just kind of a checklist, if you have a camera, take a photo when of how it is in the way and post it.

This is the best I can do...

You can see the top part of the IO is hitting the case.

Hmm...then it might be too large/small. According to the case's manual, this card should fit with room to spare, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'll have a friend look at it tomorrow who is better at this stuff than me. If that fails i'll have to return it and get a smaller card...

Thanks for the fast responses.

I would be most surprised if it was some sort of non standard size. It looks to me like the bottom of the card is not in the right place. The bottom of the graphics card bracket should probably be on the inside of the rear opening so that the card can slide in exactly vertically.
Make certain that all the keys in the card are liked up properly.
