Hi, I am going to be upgrading my computers GPU to the MSI gtx 750ti (havn't settled on the model) - here's why.

However I want a backplate, I have found an ebayer that does acrylic backplates to a really high-quality, BUT I want it in aluminium for heat dispersion.

http://www.msi.com/product/graphics-card/#?category=NVIDIA-Geforce%20GTX%20750Ti

However none of these come with backplates. I've seen EVGAs come with them or can be purchased separately, however I want an MSI.

So the questions are:

Does anyone know where I can get custom aluminium backplates?
Or should I go for the acrylic ones?

Should I go for EVGA as they provide one?

Additionally I can only go for a card that runs off PCIe power - no psu power connectors as i don't have a PSU to support it (don't ask questions about this part - solved in other topics)

TY for any help

Andy

Any reason you need a backplate? Those cards are very light and wont bend and temps under load usually stay <55C which is excellent for a GPU.

If your still intent on buying a backplate then just get the one made for the GTX 750ti, that way you wont need to worry about fitting a custom backplate.\

GPU: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43753kr <--buy from any of those sites listed or from EVGA

Backplate: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-BP-3751-B9 <--You might be able to find one cheaper through Ebay or something but its not bad for $15.

I would pass on the "custom" acrylic backplates because it may cost you alot for a GPU which is only around $140 which to me isn't worth it. Maybe on like a $400+ GPU...

Thx a lot m8, I really just want one for look as I am making a small ITX home streaming system, aka a steam box. And the case has a window.

I will probably go with EGVA now as they are nice cards and comes with a separate backplate.

Again thx.
