here from dell it don't offer a thing ?

http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/optiplex-9020-desktop/pd

this is the 750 ti there offering I assume ? [example] low power low pro card [Power consumption: 60W]

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125680

still look suspect seeing dell don't offer any from them as a option ...

then don't forget NVidia cards are min speced for x8 slot only AMD woirks fully on x4

thing is you need to junk the dell and get something real life custom build as we do ..

now here they show drivers for one ?

like I say you buy, you try, and hope it don't make you cry

like I...
The GTX750Ti requires up to 60 watts of power from the PCI-E slot. Your X4 slot cannot provide that much, so no. The card you're looking at would not work. Additionally, I would not expect that power supply to provide sufficient power even to the card RobCrezz linked.

Why wouldnt it be able to supply the 60w needed to the 750 ti?

The way I see it, you should replace the motherboard (get any cheap mobo with B85 chipset, your CPU does not support overclocking anyway) and the PSU (a decent model, 550W for future upgradeability). And then you can get any card you want.

You have an excellent CPU and a very nice amount of RAM. You can also keep your storage and even the case.

Do not upgrade graphics if you don't upgrade mobo and PSU before.

Yeah I would do this, unless they have done some non standard stuff with the power delivery.

Otherwise, new case, new PSU, new mobo, problem solved.

''a decent model, 550W for future upgradeability). And then you can get any card you want.''- sure about that ?

he's about stuck with a low pro low power gpu at best

some models of store bought computers [dell.hp,acer,ect..] may come with a ''locked or fixed'' bios and may not allow you to change certain hardware as a video card.. this is done to protect them from undue warranty claims and refunds .this is not done to hurt you but to protect them. you really need to see if that upgrade has been proven to work in your model first before you invest money in it .. there are a lot of these threads here at toms to look at some models will allow upgrades and some dont.. and a lot of guys here say ya ya ya when is really no no no...it would be sad you spent $200 on a card that wount post after you installed it as most find out. then get told its your psu and you spend more and end up right back where you are now, but its up to you good luck..

you got to know the the boards in these computers are not like the ones we use to do custom builds witch are open to upgrading with in the boards compatibly . the bios is custom made for there design and just for the parts they authorize to be used on there computers there only guaranteed to work as is out of the box as you bought it ,..

also these boards do not have to meet atx standards and there pci-e slot power may not do the required 75w needed for most higher end cards and can be limited to say 45 or 60w that is all thats needed with the low end factory oem cards that it may of shipped with

It's a shame 🙁 right now I'm using a Radeon hd 8490 on the pci x4 slot which is a 30w tpd gpu. I thought the 750 ti would would work as well. I was awared about a performance loss but thought that It would work

He he what I mean is that he is selling the same pc as I have, but the seller offers it with a gtx 750 ti. So Im really confused.

like I said above dell only guarantees it to work as is how you bought it from then out of its box . not a drop more . the rest is all your own risk
