So i have been trying to OC my Asus Strix OC GTX 750 Ti 2GB card and managed to get to 1350MHz stable and only 5600MHz memory and that was after i set the voltage to 1200mV but all OC software (MSI Afterberner and so on...) reports 1143mV when it is set to 1200mV. Why is this happening? it reports that the memory and core are running at the speed that i set them to just the voltage does not ever go to 1.2V

Solution

Strange indeed.

(Nvidia drivers can actually have an affect on these things.) Try and reinstall your nvidia drivers, if that doesn't work try going to the previous one and see what happens.

Also, see if their is a BIOS update for your 750 ti (from Asus). I wish I could give you instructions on how to do so but I've never had an Asus GPU so I don't know. 🙁
That's because the gtx 750 ti's voltage and power limits are LOCKED out. You cannot change them without a BIOS mod.

However, I've tried BIOS modding and it actually didn't help my overclock as much as I thought it would. I got to 1455mhz on my FTW 750 TI WITH the bios mod. But the stock BIOS I was able to 1439mhz, so not worth it in my case.

but what voltege is your card on?

My EVGA 750 ti FTW runs the same 1.2v I forgot what voltage I used when i used the BIOS mod.

My card does not want to go more than 1143mV but Afterberner lets me set it to 1200mV it just does not do 1200mV

i did some research and it did not take long to find out that the card can actually 1200mV so i don't know why my card can't do so. and i did search for the model that i have

ok i will try the driver update but not bios because of the unpredictable power here, i'd rather have a card that runs a bit slower than a card that does not work at all
