GTX 750 Ti?

So I am looking for anyone who has had experience with using a GTX 750 Ti GPU or equivalent to help me out here.

I am looking to buy a GPU now that'll play most new games at decent settings. I am not looking to run games at more than 1080p and I am perfectly fine with a 720p resolution and I don't need to be running the games with a crap ton of AF/AA and what not. medium to high settings for a game works for me right now. I am looking at the GTX 750 Ti as a right now purchase and will have the money for a much better card about 6 months from now and do not have the luxury of waiting 6 months for the spare cash to get a better card. Will this card be a good choice for price to performance ratio on playing most new games between their minimum and recommended system requirements? or is there another card out there that's better for the same price? my max spending limit on this card will be $130 which is exactly the price this card will come to at B&H right now.

In the end if I have to drop the visual quality settings of a game to around medium like settings to achieve around a 60fps I am fine with that. this card will be a temporary gaming solution until I get the spare cash later down the road for a much newer and better card. I currently only have AMD Radeon 3000 integrated motherboard graphics.

I realize now that the GTX 750 Ti is what I will go with but am having trouble figuring out which version to buy. below is a list of the few different versions who's name I trust but I would like to know which one would have the best performance and run the coolest. quiet is not an issue for me. I am ok with some noise coming from my machine as I usually just tune out the fans that are running in my rig to begin with and I also play games with a wireless headset that would block out the noise so it's not a problem. just need performance+cold. if the performance between them is really no different then which one runs the coldest and has the best track record of not crapping out to easily.

At that price point it's pretty much your only option. An R7 370 would be the next choice and probably can't be had as cheaply.

The 750Ti is a good entry level card that will let you play most games at good settings at 1080P, just don't expect ultra quality on newer titles.
The only way to do better for $130 is probably to go 2nd hand

I have a 750ti. That being said, it's a system that sits in my closet. I can tell you this, they're limited, but probably adequate for your needs, depending on the rest of your hardware. If you're running an I3 SB or newer(or AMD equivalent(Phenom 2X4 or FX4350 or better)), I think you'll be fine, in terms of getting the most that card can give you.

as I had previously stated I don't care about ultra quality settings. matching the quality of a console version of the game I am playing is more than enough for me right now. I just want to play newer games but not have them looking like complete and absolute crap. most games I like playing have a minimum requirement of something around th 680 and a recommended of around the 980 so I figured that this card would be great for in the middle of that running games at medium to high settings or just medium and dropping the rez from 1080 to 720 if need be.

I had the evga gtx 750ti Ftw edition and honestly it was pretty good with games like league and csgo until I started playing more demanding titles and some mmos and ect. I mean if you could get an extra $20~30 you could pick up the new gtx 950 which for around 149~169. Its somewhat better than the 750ti if your just playing on 720p and medium - high graphics then the 750 TI should do just fine!
