GTX 750 to GTX 960 Windforce upgrade

Hello guys my birthday is comming near and father told me what i wanted for my special day. I told him that if he could buy me a GTX 960 Windforce OC edition 4gb. I dont know if its worth it to upgrade from my Zotac GTX 750 1gb. Btw my processor is an i3-4160 with 4gigs of ram ,i do only play dota2 & LOL, on ultra settings , dunno if i should upgrade my processor or my gpu, the first thing that comes in my mind is upgrading my GPU (im a bit NVIDIA fanboy btw).
If your asking me why that i wanted to upgrade even though i play mid tier games at pretty decent settings is that, i really wanted to future proof my hardware for the next 2 years or maybe more. Im really into system building and i did it as my hobby. Sorry for the long post, im kinda new to forums and stuff.

Yes a GTX960 would be a huge upgrade for you. A GTX950 would be a good upgrade too. If you decide on a 960, go for the cheapest one. The 2GB models are fine.
