I have a 144Hz BenQ xl2411 monitor and use a GTX 750Ti. I use HDMI 2.0 cable, will I receive the signal? If yes, is it possible to set 144Hz vs 1080p resolution? Or a lower resolution is fine

Your GPU has HDMI 1.4, that is as fast as it can go.
If your monitor and cable are HDMI 2.0, that doesn't matter.

1080p 144hz works with HDMI 1.4, so that isn't a problem.
4K you are limited to 30hz for example.
HDMI 2.0 supports 4K at 60hz, and 1440p 144hz
HDMI 2.1 supports 4K 144hz, and 1440p 240hz.
