So I connected my PC (GTX 750 Ti) to my Samsung 40 inch HD Ready LCD TV(2008 Model) first via a mHDMI to HDMI converter. And then with a HDMI cable from the converter to the TV's HDMI port.

Unfortunately, the images are not as crisp as I expected it to be and I can see lot of successive black and gray horizontal lines.:??:

Why is this?

Is there anyway to correct this issue?

Do you think its better to connect the PC via VGA cable?

Thanks in Advance! :)

Solution
Samsung LE40R74BDX is the TV you are referring to I guess. it supports only 1366x768 resolution. And there is a 8ms response time. For a 40" TV that resolution is really not enough. it only has a 38.46 PPI. That's why the quality is really poor. TV set is the thing to blame.. Nothing wrong with your VGA or cables.

It is due to DPI.
Watch out for resolution here http://thrillinginformation.blogspot.in/2017/01/blurry-font-resolution-and-program-fix.html
