So my exams are finally over and I've convinced my parents to buy a graphics card for me, so as I'm on a tight budget and my PC is quite old I want to be conform that the graphics card which I'm buying is gonna work on my PC. So here's my PC info-

Motherboard - DH55PJ
Intel Core i3 540 3.06Ghz
4GB RAM DDR3 (I'm gonna upgrade it to 8GB soon)

and the most important my PSU- ATX 450Watts

My monitor- Compaq B191 18.5inch 1366x768 VGA Display( as I think new graphics card require DVI/HDMI)

GTX 1050- http://www.amazon.in/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1481437914&sr=8-1&keywords=zotac+gtx+1050

GTX 750Ti- http://www.amazon.in/ZOTAC-GeForce-Graphics-Black-Orange/dp/B00IFZ547Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1481438078&sr=8-1&keywords=zotac+gtx+750ti

So here's my questions-

Will either of these graphics card 750ti and 1050 work on my motherboard- Intel DH55PJ ?

And as of my monitor I may have to buy a DVI to VGA cable, so does it mean that it will affect my visual quality, will it be observable or nil ?

And I know it will bottleneck with my CPU, but right now I may not be able to go for a mobo upgrade( as mine is old LGA 1156), as its like buying entirely a new PC, so which one should I go for GTX 750Ti or GTX 1050 ?

And yes is my PSU enough for either of these graphics card? as of right now I have a graphics card of Nvidia which demands a 300Watts PSU and its working fine.

1) maybe
- probably yes, but should investigate if any issues with newer cards due to UEFI/legacy BIOS issues
2) VGA adapter comes with most cards, but verify there is VGA support (visual difference is minimal between digital and analog video)

3) GTX1050 (or 1050Ti if possible)
4) yes, you'd need to use the 2xMOLEX-> 6-pin PCIe connector if the video card has a power connector.

I'll link a card below.

Update: some dropped VGA support, so here's a link to what DVI to choose. Note the four small holes around the dash for the "DVI-I" cards. You need a card with DVI-I, or just the normal VGA connector. With DVI-I the pins for digital and analog are all there, but you connect to the analog with the VGA adapter.

not so simple. some have no analog capability whatsoever. Just DVI-D and no VGA

GTX750Ti has support for VGA.

(GTX1050/1050Ti does not. Looks like NVidia's done with VGA support completely)

Hookup
(assuming Windows 7/8/10 64-bit)

1. startup, then download and use DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
- run and choose the "recommended" option to remove old drivers and software for video
2. shut down and physically install card
3. attach MOLEX-> 6-pin power adapter (should come with card, but check if you want)

4. download latest drivers from NVidia and install
5. run benchmark, games etc to test

So that means I should go for GTX 750Ti ?
