Gtx 760 Bus interface speed is wrong

Hi everyone
i have a gtx 760 sc evga 2gb, i have a probleme my bus interface is running at pci-e 3.0x2 and my video card support pci-e 3.0x16. how i change that

I never update my BIOS before because i always hear that i can broken my board if i do it wrong.
but if no any other solution i will do it

You won't break your board. Just make sure for certain any bios you download to upgrade is the exact one you need for your particular motherboard. There are several that are similar, but only one latest upgrade for your exact board, so the bios for a Z97-AR won't work, it must be 'A'

just for decide to do it i have a final question, the only way that this procedure going wrong is the energy turn off? assuming everything else is fine.

Yes so make sure your computer does not turn off during the process.

Go here and select your operating system then under the "BIOS" heading download the newest version.

I put the video card in the second PCI Express 3.0x16 slot and now the gpu is running x8 in better but is not the top speed. now how i do to run x16?

So you're saying your problem was just GPU-Z giving the wrong value? That's why they have the render test, it won't show your full 3D rendering mode unless you run the test.

In Asus bios there is a switch to enable the pcie x1 as it shares bandwidth with one of the pcie slots. On my board it cuts the 2nd slot from x4 to x2. Not sure, but it may cut your board to x8/x8/x2

is not my case, i just fixed, I had to do was uninstall the driver with the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and put again the gpu in the slot one them i install the driver manually, but after that i did the render test and i had a issue the first time, the desktop freeze every 3 or 5 second, the driver turns crazy just say stop working, i repeat the same process install and uninstall i did 3d benchmark and know is working good,so far is working well I hope it stays that way.
