Hi there,
I just bought a new monitor (Acer XF240H) and tried to connect it via the DP cable (came with the monitor) to my good old MSI GTX 760 OC graphics card. I used that graphics card via DVI cables before without any problem. Now everytime I plug the new DP cable in, the monitor automatically checks the ports, DVI - HDMI - DP. But when it switch to the DP, the screen goes black for a few seconds then "No signal" pops on the display.

Could this issue be related to the different version of the DisplayPort connectors? Afaik, the GTX 760 uses DP ver. 1.2 while the monitor should use some new version, like 1.4 or above.

Somewhere I read about some strange voodoo magic too, that I have to unplug the monitor and the PC from the wall inlet for a set amount of time and in a specific order to make it work but I couldn't find the working order and time so far to get it done.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this problem?
